LeashTracker — Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of LeashTracker, a household dog-walking tracker app. By creating an account you agree to them.

The service

LeashTracker lets members of a household log dog walks, see a shared live feed, and track fairness via a leaderboard. It is provided by a small, independent developer, not a large company, and is self-hosted rather than run on managed cloud infrastructure.

Accounts and households

You are responsible for the accuracy of the walks you log and for keeping your account credentials secure. A household's pack leader can approve or remove members and manage household-wide settings.

Free and Plus

LeashTracker Free is supported by ads and limited to one dog per household. LeashTracker Plus removes ads and unlocks unlimited dogs, GPS distance tracking, extended leaderboard periods, and unlimited walk history. Plus is available either as a monthly auto-renewing subscription (cancel any time via the Play Store, effective at the end of the current billing period) or as a one-time lifetime purchase, described below.

Lifetime Plus purchase

The lifetime Plus purchase is a single one-time payment, not a subscription — there is no recurring charge and nothing to cancel.

• Lifetime access is honored for as long as LeashTracker operates as a service.
• We do not offer a cash refund tied to a fixed time window after discontinuation. Instead, if LeashTracker is ever discontinued as a hosted service, the app is designed to remain usable in a local-only mode: you can still log walks and view your own recent leaderboard standing from data already on your device, without needing our backend. This is the guarantee that replaces a cash refund.
• Standard Google Play refund policy still applies for a purchase made by mistake shortly after buying — that is handled by Google, not us.
• The lifetime purchase unlocks the same Plus features as the monthly subscription (unlimited dogs, GPS tracking, extended leaderboard periods, unlimited history, no ads) and never expires or needs renewal.

Acceptable use

Don't use LeashTracker to store data unrelated to its purpose, attempt to disrupt the service, or access another household's data without authorization.

No warranty

LeashTracker is provided "as is". As a small, independently-run service we do our best to keep it reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we're not liable for indirect damages arising from its use, to the extent permitted by law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, in particular the lifetime Plus terms above should the offer's conditions ever need to change. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date.
